I'm Zane Brandon; I've grown up around Bedford my whole life. I have only gone to Bedford schools since 3rd grade, though. I skateboard and run, those are my hobbies. I have 3 sisters, and 2 dogs.

ReplyDeleteI participate in Marching Band at Bedford. I am in the Colorguard. It is really fun to twirl flags, rifles, hoops, whatever. I use to play the flute, which I played for about 7 to 8 years. I am in German, it is my second year. This Friday, 3-19-10, I will be competing in a German Spelling Bee. I am very interested in cooking and plan to pursue it as my future job. I want to be a chef and open my own resturaunt or a cake decorator and open my own business.
On my spare time I either read or just hang out listening to music or watching TV.

As we all know, cell-phones have made a major impact on our lives and changed the definition of what it means to be socially connected. Cell-phones have made it possible to talk and text one another without having to be connected to a land-line, which in many ways makes millions of people’s hectic lives a bit simpler. But, recently people have been using their cell-phones in dangerous or inappropriate ways such as texting and driving, sex-ting and some people become so attached to their phones that they actually grow to be less connected to one another. All in all it’s up to you to decide-will you be one to use your cell-phone correctly or will you become another statistic?

An Ultra-Thin Shape Memory Alloy For Stretchier Stents And Quake-Proof Buildings
ReplyDeleteThis article is about a new technology called alloys. In this new wire that the Japanese have made the new alloy could go into people’s arteries and place stents, tubes that keep blood vessels from collapsing. Also the stents could be used in heart stents. Also because they are shape memory alloys they could be used in cell phone antennas, special frames, and also braces. One other thing these alloys could do is create “quake proof” buildings which are buildings that can return to their original shape after tremors have occurred.

Camera Phones Advancing.
ReplyDeleteInVisage Technologies they have spent three years trying to develop a camera phone that catches more light. The film is rare and is called a quantum dot. Jess Lee the Executive Chief of InVisage predicts that a camera phone will eventually work four times better than today’s cameras. InVisage they started using quantum dots to build quantum film which gathers light better than silicon. By using these quantum dots they believe it will be a huge leap in camera performances. InVisage is keeping the “secret recipe” for the quantum dots a secret and plans on selling them directly to phone companies. They are expected to star production in 18 months.

ReplyDeleteThere has been some recent controversy pertaining to IPad, They’re wondering if it can accomplish the same tasks the iPhone can. Some versions of this new high tech tablet computer are coming out as early as March. The iPad is the pioneer of the new way to compute, it’s like a cross between a smart phone and a laptop. The iPads price is going to be between $499 to $899 pending on what model you get.
The iPad is a 9 by 7 half inch thick computer weighting in at an incredible one and a half pounds, this computer is a very versatile and mobile thing. iPad has some critics and they were quick to point out there was no camera and other things new technology has to offer with other mobile hand held devices.
Some Critics speculate that the iPad is just an over-sized iPhone. Apple still insists that this will become the new trend of mobile computing soon. The iPad is a full touch screen just like the iPhone and can also use a 3G network as a cell phone would, but the only carrier mentioned was AT&T. So people who would have purchased an iPad would have to use AT&T for this device to obtain internet access.
