Blog topic for this week and next is Parent/adult interviews about careers. The direction sheet for this assignment is listed on the student-teacher drive. On Thursday, May 6 we created iGoogle documents online with the questions you are to ask. The questions have also been emailed to you for those who were absent on Thursday. You are to interview two adults - one woman and one man. Their responses to the questions are to be typed and save on iGoogle's word processing documents. Due Monday, May 17, 2010. Worth 20 points.
Blog Assignment: Reflection - after you have interviewed, reflect on what each person had to say. What can you learn from this? Type minimum of 6 sentences reflecting on what you have learned. Due by Wednesday, May 19. Worth 10 points.

Personal Blog Assignment - Easter Holiday
Hope all of you have an enjoyable Easter / Spring break. Easter means many things to many people. We don't all have the same background or beliefs. On your personal blog I would like you to talk about what Easter means to you. Some of you may look at Easter time as just another holiday with no special meaning. Others may focus on Easter bunny, candy and family fun. For others it may be one of the most important religious holidays.
I would also like you to write about how you are spending your holiday.
This blog is due by Friday April 9, 2010.

General Rules and Thursday's Assignment
If you don't currently have an "igoogle" account, set one up. Record your user name and password in a Word document and save it as Log_on_information; you'll need it before posting the blog.
We’ll be using this site for teacher-to-student communication as well as student-to-student communication. My goal is to do at least one blog post per week. Generally I will post on Monday and you have until Friday to complete the weekly blog by leaving a comment. Many of you may have your own personal blogs on MySpace or similar sites. For those of you who have never used a blog, this will give you some experience. Before we get started we’ll have to set some ground rules.
First of all, all postings to this site must use school appropriate language. When you post, write in complete sentences. Key your first and last name at the end of your post so I know who's post it is. When commenting on another student’s post, keep your comments non-personal. You can agree or disagree with a comment but refrain from sarcasm and/or put-downs. State your position on the issue at hand and why you feel that way.Your first assignment: Who is your "hero" and what makes that person special to you?To complete this task just click the comment (one line down to the right).
Your first/second assignment: Who is your "hero" and what makes that person special to you? To complete this task just click the comment (one line down to the right - use your igoogle account in the drop down list).
